1985
The first weekday Mass is celebrated in the "little yellow office" (a building that has since been demolished) on August 13, 1985. On Sundays, Mass is held at the Bertha Vos elementary school on Saturday, August 17, 1985.
1986
In February, an empty storefront at the Tom's Market food store becomes the Mass venue, while also serving as headquarters for planning of a new church building. In August, the land that is the future home of Christ the King Church is blessed.
1988
The first Mass is celebrated in the church on December 8, 1988 (feast of the Immaculate Conception); on the following Sunday, Bishop Rose and a number of the clergy participated in the consecration Mass.
1996
The parish celebrated the burning of the mortgage for the church's construction loan.
2000
Fr. Thome retired from Christ the King; Fr. Duane Wachowiak is installed as Pastoral Administrator.
2002
Fr. Garth Hilmer was installed as pastor; the parish purchased the former Bertha Vos homestead adjacent to parish grounds at a cost of $350,000 on April 10, 2003.
2004
Fr. Gerald F. Micketti becomes pastor of Christ the King Church on July 14, 2004.
